There are two other private schools within El Paso City that provide specialized mechanical, academic or technical education.

Within the regions of El Paso and Jaurez, there are two major educational centers. These are recognized for their academic diversity to help make sure that the students become more well-rounded people. The most prominent institutions in the region are New Mexico State University, the University of Texas at El Paso, the University of Phoenix and the El Paso Community College. In addition to these schools, there are some other excellent options like the University of Phoenix, the Howard Payne University, the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso and Webster University.

The city's economy is largely based off of global trade due to its proximity to the border of Mexico. It is among the biggest sources of employment within the area.
