Napa's fine wineries are situated just 30 minutes away, as are Folsom Lake and Lake Tahoe. Roseville has a lot of golf courses and parks and thousands of acres of open space.
The city boasts exceptional recreation and educational programs, making it a family friendly community. Several of schools in the city have won the California Distinguished School Award. There are a lot of colleges nearby, with California State University, Sacramento, University of California, Davis and Sierra Community College all within a thirty minute drive away.
