Lift Truck Chain Fort Collins - Fort Collins is a municipality located on the Cache La Poudre River within Colorado. This Home Rule City is located along the Colorado Front Range. It is the county seat of Larimer County as well as being the most densely inhabited city of the county as well. The 2010 census listed the populations as 143,986 making it the 4th most heavily populated city in Colorado state. Fort Collins is situated 92km or 57 miles north of the city of Denver, Colorado's state capital.

The city is 55 miles northeast of Boulder, Colorado. Fort Collins is nestled along the Rocky Mountain foothills. Colorado State University or likewise known as CSU, is situated within the city of Fort Collins too, therefore it is a largely populated college town.

Originally, the city started out as an army post like its name suggests. In the beginning it was called "Camp Collins," to honor the commander of Ohio Cavalry troops who were based at Fort Laramie under Lt. Col. William O. Collins. During 1864, a devastating flood almost destroyed the initial army post. The current site of the city of Fort Collins was picked to be the site of the new military operation. The new post was named Fort Collins. During the year 1867, the fort was decommissioned but a new town still emerged. During 1873, the new township of Fort Collins was officially incorporated.

With the opening of the Colorado Agricultural College, it sparked an new accomplishment milestone six years afterward. This would eventually become Colorado State University. Initially founded as Colorado's only land grant institution, CSU has become a major part of the city's recreation and culture as well as being the biggest employer within Fort Collins.

In Fort Collins, the city features a balanced economy with a very educated workforce.
