Lift Truck Chain Moose Jaw

Lift Truck Chain Moose Jaw - Situated on the Moose Jaw River within south-central Saskatchewan is the city of Moose Jaw. The people of the municipality fondly refer to themselves as Moose Javians. Toward the east of the city of Moose Jaw, approximately 77 kilometers away, is the capital of Saskatchewan, Regina. Regina is easily accessible by the Trans-Canada Highway, which conveniently runs right through the municipality of Moose Jaw. The city of Moose Jaw is well known as being retirement and tourist friendly.

During the year 1857, the city was initially named "Moose Jaw Bone Creek" by John Palliser. There are some theories regarding how the name was chosen. The first theory is that, when looking at a map, the shape of the Moose Jaw River is like the jaw of a moose. The second is that the name is derived from the Plains Cree name "moscastani-sipiy", that translates to "a warm place by the river." The Coteau Range provides the river valley with protection from the weather conditions. The Plains Cree word Moose Jaw translates to "warm breezes".

Though the municipality has served mainly as an industrial centre, the Snowbirds of Canada's military air show flight demonstration team is situated in the city. The business district in the city has many stunning historical murals painted on the exterior of some buildings. The city of Moose Jaw also serves as a railway junction for the agricultural produce of the region. Some of the small grain elevators that formerly lined the highway are being replaced by large capacity concrete grain terminals. As the technology becomes more advanced within the fields of harvest, transport, and road construction, large inland terminals have become more economically viable. Because of the cities nearness to the Trans-Canada Highway. some plants which process meat, salt, potash, anhydrous ammonia, urea fertilizer and ethanol producers could be situated near the municipality of Moose Jaw.

Within the city of Moose Jaw, there are several main sites of interest, such as the Tunnels of Moose Jaw, the Temple Garden's Mineral Spa and the History of Transportation Western Development Museum. Trolley tours of the municipality are still offered by Moose Jaw Trolley Company, which has been in business since the year 1912. Just outside of the city of Moose Jaw are the roadside attractions of Moose family, Mac the Moose and Capone's car. Other highlights of the municipality of Moose Jaw are the geothermal spa and CFB Moose Jaw, which is a NATO flight training school.

Moose Jaw No. 161 is the governing body of the city of Moose Jaw. About 1,228 residents, together with individuals from the nearby Canadian Forces Base, depend on their services.

Though there is just one indoor shopping centre situated within the municipality, the Town 'N' Country Mall, there are several independent grocery stores and retailers which operate in the city of Moose Jaw. Examples of these include the Real Canadian Superstore, Co-Op, Safeway Inc, Giant Tiger, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, The Brick, Sobeys, Staples, MKarr's Furniture, Mark's Work Warehouse, Shoppers Drug mart, PartSource, London Drugs, Dollar Giant, Liquidation World, Home Hardware, Peavey Mart, Castle Building Centres Group and Western Lumber, and Liquidation World.
