Snowboarders and thrill-seekers would also enjoy a downhill playground with half-pipe boxes within the park.
Aside from oil, the city also relies on oil pipelines and natural gas, tourism and also forestry. The two largest oil sand mining companies within Fort McMurray are Syncrude and Suncor Energy. Several businesses, include drilling rig services, forest protection services, sawmills, and refineries are considered economic players in the city.
Fort McMurray Airport manages the air transportation of the city. Some of its major airlines comprise: WestJet, Northwestern Air, Integra Air, McMurray Aviation, Air Mikisew, Air Canada Jazz, and Air Canada. Their scheduled flights are generally to Saskatoon, St. John's Toronto, Lethbridge, Peace River, Fort Smith, Fort Chipewyan, Calgary and Edmonton. Public transit is managed by Fort McMurray Transit, which operates within the community, and red Arrow and Greyhound Canada operate scheduled bus services to Edmonton and various communities along Highway 63. Rail services are managed by the Canadian National Railway, which operates between Fort McMurray and Edmonton.
