Lift Truck Chain South Carolina

Lift Truck Chain South Carolina - The US state of South Carolina is situated within the Deep South part of the nation. The state shares its border along with the state of Georgia towards the south, North Carolina towards the north, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The state of South Carolina was initially a part of the Province of Carolina, and was one of the 13 colonies that declared independence from Great Britain during the American Revolution. The colony was initially named by King Charles II of England to honor his father Charles I, because Carolus is Latin for Charles. South Carolina was the very first state to vote to secede from the Union and was the founding state of the Confederate States of America. According to the 2010 United States Census, the state of South Carolina is ranked 24th among the U.S. states by population, at 4,625,384 people. The state of South Carolina consists of 46 counties and its capital is Columbia.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, South Carolina's gross state product in current dollars was $97 billion in the year 1997, and $153 billion during 2007. Its per-capita real gross domestic product or GDP in 2000, was $26,772 during the year 1997, and $28,894 during the year 2007; that represents 85% of the $31,619 per-capita real GDP for the United States on the whole in the year 1997, and 76% of the $38,020 for the U.S. during the year 2007.

Major agricultural outputs of the state of South Carolina are: poultry, tobacco, dairy products, cattle, rice, hogs and soybeans. Industrial outputs comprise: textile goods, chemical products, machinery, paper products, automobiles and automotive products and tourism.

South Carolina is bordered to the north by North Carolina; towards the south and west by Georgia, situated across the Savannah River; and to the east by the Atlantic Ocean.

South Carolina is made up of four geographic areas, which they refer to as physiographic provinces. The Coastal Plain lies in the southeast part of the state of South Carolina, which are further divided into the inner and Outer Coastal Plains. Starting from north to south the coastline is divided into three separate areas, the Grand Strand, the Santee River Delta, and the Sea Islands. Further inland are the Sandhills, ancient dunes from what used to be South Carolina's coastline millions of years ago. The Fall Line, which marks the limit of navigable rivers, runs along the boundary of the Sandhills and the Piedmont, which has clay soils and rolling hills. Within the northwest corner of the state are the Blue Ridge Mountains, the smallest geographical region in the state of South Carolina.

There are lots of estuaries and salt marshes along the state's shore, in addition to the natural ports at Charleston and Georgetown. The coastal plain has a large number of Carolina bays, that is an unusual feature, with their exact origins being uncertain. One incorrect but prominent theory says that a meteor shower created them. The bays tend to be oval, lining up in a northwest to southeast orientation. The terrain is flat and the soil is composed entirely of recent sediments like for instance sand, silt, and clay. Parts with better drainage make great farmland, although some land is swampy.
